Propr $10,000 challenge passed in a single trade: the BRENTOIL x8 live

September 2, 2026 ~7 min

On the evening of 1 September 2026 (UTC+7), we opened a single trade on a Propr $10,000 challenge — a long BRENTOIL at 8x leverage — and ended the evening with the “Challenge confirmed” message. Everything was documented live, screen by screen, on our own evaluation account (reference #P1Yo visible on the captures). This is not a tutorial and even less a method: it is a fact, with its numbers, and an honest reading of what it says — and does not say — about Propr’s rules.

The venue: BRENTOIL, freshly arrived on Propr

BRENTOIL is the cash-settled perp on Brent crude (the international benchmark barrel), deployed on Hyperliquid through the trade.xyz venue (HIP-3 markets). The market has been running on Hyperliquid for months; what was new at our 1 September session was its presence in Propr’s tradable catalogue — hence the trade: take a market that just opened at the firm, and document it. At our read, the ticker showed a maximum leverage of 8x, a $1M position cap and about $86M of 24h volume.

The setup, as displayed

Account: “$10K Explorer 1-Step Classic”, running in simulated mode during the evaluation (PAPER badge — the normal way Propr evaluations work). Limits displayed in the banner: 6% max drawdown, 3% daily loss, 10% profit target.

The trade: long 869.86 BRENTOIL, isolated 8x, entry at $91.842 — roughly $80,800 of position value on a $10,000 account. Displayed liquidation price: $80.821. One interface detail we would like to see everywhere: the app plots directly on the chart the price levels where the daily loss (“Max DL”, here $91.54) and the max drawdown (“Max DD”, $91.15) would be hit. At entry, the penalty sat less than 0.4% of price below the fill — more on that below.

The live, in numbers

At 23:10 (UTC+7) the position showed +$897.67 (+8.98%), equity at $10,896.99:

Propr 10k challenge: long BRENTOIL x8 position at +8.98%, equity $10,896.99

Four minutes later BRENTOIL touched $93.00 and the counter passed the target: +$1,006.84 (+10.08%), equity at $11,006.16 (the -$7.19 realized on the line is fees and funding):

BRENTOIL x8 position at +10.08%, the Propr challenge's 10% target passed

The validation

The validation modal followed right after: “Challenge confirmed!”, steps Challenge passed → In review → Reward issued, with the three gauges — Profit target 10.1% / 10%, Drawdown used 0.0% / 6%, Daily loss 0.0% / 3%:

Propr Challenge confirmed modal: profit target 10.1%, drawdown 0.0%, daily loss 0.0%

And the dashboard card flipped to FUNDED: final equity $10,988.74, Total P&L +$988.74, 100% win rate — one trade, one challenge:

Propr FUNDED card: equity $10,988.74, +$988.74 P&L, 100% win rate

At our read, the “Access Funded Account” button and the certificate were marked SOON — the funded account was not open at the minute of validation. We will document what follows (funded access, first payout) as usual.

What this says about Propr’s rules

This story is only possible because the 1-Step Classic has no minimum trading days, no consistency rule and no time limit (published rulebook, propr.xyz/rules). At many CFD prop firms, a challenge passed in a single trade would trip a consistency rule or a manual review refusal; here, validation walked through the automatic states all the way to “Reward issued”. It is a fact about the rules that we are documenting — check the day’s rulebook before buying, these grids move.

The honesty that goes with it

An 8x on ~$80,000 notional with a 10k account, on a market that just opened at the firm, is not a strategy: it is a bet, taken openly and documented. Re-read the second paragraph of the setup: at entry, the daily-loss level sat at $91.54, about -0.33% of price below the fill. The same trade with the same leverage would have ended in a burned daily — or worse — on a simple opening retracement. A challenge passed in one trade and a challenge lost in one trade are the two exact faces of the same leverage. What we publish here is dated proof that it happened, not the idea that it will happen again.
