The short answer

  • Five settings: size ($500 to $25,000), type (2-Step, 1-Step, Instant), profit split (80% / 90%), daily loss limit (3% / 4% / none), profit target (10% / 20%). The last three exist only on 1-Step.
  • Cheapest evaluation: 2-Step Silver, $15 ($14.25 with ROYA). Default 1-Step $5,000: $40 ($38).
  • Counter-intuitive: a 20% target costs less than 10%; removing the daily loss limit costs the most; 90% split adds about 20%.
  • Instant: $10 to $1,000, 95% split, no test — and the max drawdown equals the price you paid.
  • Sources: five configurations checked on screen; the rest is Vest’s published price matrix.

We bought the default Silver 1-Step (10% target, 3% daily loss limit, 80/20) for $38 on 8 October 2026, passed it the next day, and lost the funded account that same evening to the 3% daily loss limit. So on 10 October 2026 we went back into Vest’s builder to price every option. ROYA is our affiliate code: we earn a commission, you pay 5% less.

1. The builder in one screen

On the Vest Capital page, “Create Bespoke Account” opens “Create Your Bespoke Account”. A slider sets the size: $500, $5,000, $10,000 or $25,000 ($500 shows a padlock on 1-Step; Vest’s docs price $500 only as Instant). Three cards set the type; on 1-Step, three rows of buttons set the split, the daily loss limit and the target.

On the right, “Your Build” sums it up: tier, size, split, Max. Drawdown, Daily Loss Limit, Evaluation Goal, then “Your One-time Cost” — list price struck through next to the discounted one — a row of “Cost Modifiers” chips, a quantity selector and “Buy Your Bespoke Account”.

Vest Capital 'Create Your Bespoke Account' builder, 9 October 2026: Platinum $25,000, 1-Step, 90% profit split, Daily Loss Limit None, 20% goal, Max. Drawdown $1,500, one-time cost $300 struck through and $285, Cost Modifiers chips including 'VEST 5%'
Platinum $25,000, 1-Step, 90% split, no daily loss limit, 20% goal: $300 struck through, $285. The chip reads "VEST 5%", the code pre-filled on that account; ROYA gives the same 5% — read 9 October 2026 · source next.vestmarkets.com, Vest Capital builder (screenshot by us)

2. The five settings, and what each one changes

  • Size. Silver $5,000, Gold $10,000, Platinum $25,000 for evaluations; $500 with Instant only. On every evaluation the max drawdown is 6% of capital — $300, $600, $1,500 — whatever else you choose.
  • Type. 2-Step: “Two evaluation phases, 10% profit goal then 5%”, fixed 3% daily loss limit and 80/20. 1-Step: “One evaluation phase, 10% or 20% profit goal”, the only configurable type. Instant: “No Evaluation, instant funding, 95% profit split”.
  • Profit split, 80% or 90%. Your share of claimed profit, fixed at purchase. The default is 80%.
  • Daily loss limit, 3%, 4% or None. On $5,000: $150, $200, or no daily cap. With None, only the 6% max drawdown can close the account.
  • Profit target, 10% or 20%. What you must make to pass: $500 or $1,000 on $5,000.

● = price we saw in the app, 9–10 October 2026. Every other figure is Vest’s pricing matrix (docs.vestmarkets.com, account tiers, read 9 October 2026). The builder’s animation froze our browser’s screenshots, so we checked five configurations on screen; the rest are Vest’s published matrix. The builder shows the live price before you pay — check it there. ROYA prices = list − 5%, rounded to the cent.

4. What the matrix says (plain arithmetic)

  1. The 20% target is cheaper than 10%. Silver, 3%, 80/20: $25 against $40, 37.5% less — for twice the profit to make.
  2. Removing the daily loss limit is the priciest option. Silver 10% / None / 80: $75, 87.5% more than with 3%. The top of the list is Platinum 10% / None / 90 at $450.
  3. The 90% split adds about 20%. Exactly +20% on 16 of the 18 pairs; the exceptions are Platinum 10% / 4% ($280 → $330, +17.9%) and Silver 20% / 4% ($33 → $40, +21.2%).
  4. The cheapest evaluation is the 2-Step Silver: $15 ($14.25 with ROYA).
  5. Instant costs 5× the default 1-Step on $5,000 ($200 against $40), but skips the evaluation and pays 95% — and its max drawdown equals the price.

5. Four builds, and what each one trades off

Not recommendations: the four corners of the price list, on $5,000.

  • Cheapest entry — 2-Step Silver, $15 → $14.25. Two phases (10%, then a further 5%), 3% daily loss limit, 80%.
  • Cheapest 1-Step — 20% / 3% / 80, $25 → $23.75. One phase, but $1,000 to make with $300 of drawdown.
  • Most room per day — 10% / None / 80, $75 → $71.25. Only the 6% max drawdown can close the account.
  • Skip the test — Instant $5,000, $200 → $190. 95%, no target, no daily limit, $200 of drawdown.

6. Instant funded: what you get and what you give up

Per Vest’s docs, an Instant account is “live the moment payment clears”, with a 95% split, no target and no daily loss limit. What you give up is drawdown room: the max drawdown is the price (4% of capital, 2% on the $500 size). A $5,000 Instant closes after $200 of losses; a $5,000 evaluation after $300. And an Instant account is not “more real” than an evaluation — see section 8.

Vest Capital Instant pricing page, 9 October 2026: $10, $200, $400 and $1,000 for $500, $5,000, $10,000 and $25,000 accounts, 95% split

7. What the 3% daily loss limit did to our account

Our Silver passed on 9 October. On the funded account we claimed a first $14.08 ($11.26 at 80%), then kept trading. At 12:43 UTC that day a crude-oil (CL) short at 5x was liquidated at −$214.01. The day’s loss read $150.61 against a $150 limit, and the app said: “You hit your Daily Loss Limit — Your account was closed”.

The max drawdown then read $164.68 of $300: the 6% limit had not been reached, so with “None” the account would not have closed at that point. What the position would have done next, nobody can say. That is what the extra $35 buys on a Silver: no daily cap, the same overall floor.

Our claim still read “Processing” on 10 October 2026 at 02:05 UTC. Vest’s docs say a claim is “Irrevocable once initiated”; whether ours lands despite the closure is being checked, and we will update this page. The full story: our Vest Capital payout article.

8. “Real trading capital” or virtual?

The evaluation page we read on 10 October 2026 says the funded account goes live “with up to $25,000 in real trading capital”. Its own footer says “An instant funded account and all displayed balances and results are virtual”, and that compensation “is not a share of profits from a live trade for your account”. The Prop Trading Terms (6 October 2026) are plain: “All Accounts, including Instant Funded Accounts, are simulated.”

Our reading: you trade a simulated account and Vest pays a contractual compensation computed on it — the usual model of simulated prop firms. Every build, Instant included, works that way. Context in our full Vest Markets review.

9. How to apply ROYA in the builder

  1. Sign in. Signed out, the Vest Capital page shows no discount field.
  2. Under the account cards, in “Enter Discount Code”, type ROYA and click “Use”. Some accounts have VEST pre-filled: replace it.
  3. Check “Discount is Active!” — the cards go $40 → $38, $80 → $76, $210 → $199.50.
  4. Open “Create Bespoke Account” and build. “Your One-time Cost” shows both prices. After a reload our field went back to VEST (same 5%): check before “Buy”.

10. FAQ

Can you customise a Vest Capital account?

Yes, the 1-Step evaluation. Vest's "Create Your Bespoke Account" builder sets the size, the profit split (80% or 90%), the daily loss limit (3%, 4% or none) and the profit target (10% or 20%): 36 configurations. On 2-Step and Instant you only choose the size.

Is a 20% target cheaper on Vest Capital?

Yes: at equal split and daily loss limit, every 20% row of Vest's matrix costs less than the 10% row (Silver, 3%, 80/20: $25 against $40). But you must make $1,000 instead of $500 on $5,000, with the same $300 max drawdown.

How much is Instant Funding on Vest?

Per Vest's docs: $500 for $10, $5,000 for $200, $10,000 for $400, $25,000 for $1,000 ($9.50, $190, $380, $950 with ROYA). 95% split, no target, no daily loss limit; the max drawdown equals the price.

What is the cheapest Vest Capital account?

The $500 Instant, $10 ($9.50 with ROYA). The cheapest evaluation is the 2-Step Silver at $15 ($14.25); the cheapest 1-Step, Silver 20% / 3% / 80 at $25 ($23.75).

Does the ROYA code work on the builder?

It took 5% off every configuration we tested: type it in "Enter Discount Code" under the account cards, click "Use", check "Discount is Active!". On 10 October 2026 the default build showed $40 → $38.

Is Vest Capital capital real?

Vest's Terms say: "All Accounts, including Instant Funded Accounts, are simulated." The evaluation page speaks of "real trading capital", while its footer calls all balances and results "virtual". A payout is a contractual compensation computed on a simulated account — for every build, Instant included.
