Prop firm rulebook changes: every rule, ceiling and market change, dated — before and after

Crypto prop firms change their rules after you pay, and mostly without telling you. This register records every change we have read or observed at the 6 firms we track, with the text before, the text after, and the date of each read — 19 entries since 27 July 2026, of which 15 were unannounced or only observed on our own accounts before any rulebook mentioned them. Propr stopped counting floating P&L without re-versioning the rulebook, and it is the only firm here that publishes a dated changelog at all — except that changelog no longer keeps up with its own text: read 10 September 2026, the page header still says v1.0 and the last logged entry is v1.0.2 (18 March 2026), while the purchase grid sells a Pro 1-Step format and a $200K tier that no changelog entry ever introduces. Hypernova’s v1.1 lifted the beta’s bot ban — good — and six days later its markets page went from 141 to 99 instruments with no announcement. Carrot Funding’s ceiling went from $500K to $100K; Solana Funded’s from $250K to $100K; HyperPNL’s $200K tier vanished, and on 9 September 2026 we found it selling a 2-Step evaluation beside the 1-Step while its public rulebook documents the 2-Step and never the 1-Step. The same day we bought a $42 evaluation there and traced the payment end to end on Arbitrum: the only on-chain event was a deposit into a third-party bridging contract, after which the fee was debited off-chain — nothing to check for a buyer, at a firm whose homepage sells “Everyone can see everything on-chain”. None of this is hearsay: each entry names its source and date, and entries are append-only — we add, we never rewrite. The rule that ends your account is the one in force the day you breach it, not the one you read when you paid. Last entry: 17 September 2026.

How an entry is made

We read rulebooks, homepages and checkout grids on dated passes and keep the text. When two reads differ, an entry records both texts, both dates, the firm’s own announcement if any, and what it changes for a live account. When we see the new behaviour on our own account before the firm publishes it, the entry says observed — it is never promoted to announced. Entries are append-only, reusable under CC-BY 4.0, and each links to the fiche and to the status changelog where relevant.

FAQ

Do prop firms change their rules after you pay?

Yes, and mostly without saying so. Of the 19 changes we have documented since 27 July 2026, 15 were either unannounced or observed on our own accounts before any rulebook mentioned them. Propr rewrote its daily-loss mechanic three times in four months; Hypernova cut 141 markets to 99 in six days without a word; Carrot Funding and Solana Funded halved or quintupled down their advertised ceilings quietly.

How do you know a rule changed?

We read the rulebooks, homepages and checkout grids on dated passes and keep the text; when two reads differ, the entry records both texts and both dates. When we see the new behaviour on a live account before the firm publishes it, the entry says 'observed' — never 'announced'.

Why does this matter more than the rules themselves?

Because a rulebook is a snapshot and a firm is a moving target. The rule that ends your account is the one in force on the day you breach it — which may not be the one you read when you paid. This register lets you see how often, and how quietly, each firm moves.

Can I reuse this data?

Yes — CC-BY 4.0 with attribution, like our status registry and payout data. Each change is an append-only entry with its sources; we never edit a past entry, we add a new one.
